This Week at First Norfolk
Financial Peace University starts THIS Tuesday
Take the class that's helped nearly 6 million people learn how to manage their money with confidence! Financial Peace University (FPU) is the nine-lesson class that will teach you how to pay off debt, save and invest for your future. You’ll also connect with others, just like you who can hold you accountable, encourage you, and celebrate your progress!
Current Sunday Series: Blessed
Join us as we take an in-depth look at the Beatitudes. We will seek to understand and live in the truth that God brings extraordinary blessings to those with the right attitude, the right actions, and perseverance. His instruction shows us how to live immersed in the blessings flowing from the hand of God.

WEEKLY IN-PERSON GATHERINGS

We have resumed weekly in-person gatherings at the Kempsville Road location. The gatherings thus far have shown us that this is something we can continue to do. We will continue to abide by all of the precautions including social distancing, which limits capacity.

  • Please RSVP so we can manage capacity
  • There is no children's programming
  • On-site LIFEgroups are not meeting
  • 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM each week
  • Kempsville Road Location
  • See all of the details at firstnorfolk.org/regather

Family Gatherings in the Fellowship Hall

It can be challenging for families who wish to participate at in-person gatherings in this season when we are not able to offer activities for children. We are actively looking for ways for families to participate safely. We are opening the Fellowship Hall for families to reserve a table where they can sit together in a socially distanced environment, yet have some social interaction with others, to watch the live worship gathering. We’ll provide hand sanitizer and activity bags and we ask that older children and adults use face masks. We need to know you’re coming, as space is limited. Register at firstnorfolk.org/regather. We look forward to seeing you and your children.

Add the First Norfolk App to Your Phone or Tablet
Our mobile app has been completely rebuilt and many new features have been added. You can watch the latest services, access the blog, get event information, view the calendar, give, and more. The old app no longer works and your device should update you to the latest version, but you may have to manually update it depending on your settings.
You Can Join an Online LIFEgroup
Because God calls us to love one another, we will use available technology to allow our groups to continue to meet together digitally. Times will be scheduled and communicated to group members. If you are not yet a part of one of these groups, text “LIFEgroup” to 757-742-5558 to get connected. Be watching for information from your leader.

In addition to groups that meet online, we also offer Sunday morning LIFEgroup by telephone. To access this group, individuals may dial 1-877-407-0030, when promoted, enter the code 0030.
Our first priority is to care for our members. We recognize that over the coming days, you may have a need that you need help with. If you have a need please contact the church office at 757-461-3226 or click the link below.
The primary way we care for one another is through prayer. We maintain a prayer list of concerns that are shared with us. Our members regularly use this list to pray for others. Please download the list and pray for these requests. If you have a request, please let us know and we will add it to the list.
Check out the First Norfolk blog
Our blog contains encouraging articles from the staff that will help you navigate these days of uncertainty.
