Agency marks 110 Years in the Community
2019 marks 110 years since FCS’s founding in 1909. Our story begins with a group of Long Branch community leaders who came together to purchase gifts for impoverished children at Christmastime. Initially incorporated as “The Long Branch Society for the Improvement of the Poor,” the group quickly expanded it mission to meet other critical needs. Learn more.

FCS Staff News
Congratulations to our Adult Protective Services (APS) Director Jessica Reyes and her team of social workers, Michele Ewing, Samantha Scanlon and Alexa Pogrob for successfully completing the APS Basic Worker Training course offered by Rutgers University School of Social Work! The intensive 12-week program is designed to enhance understanding of the role of social workers play in identifying and addressing abuse, neglect and financial exploitation of vulnerable adults. We applaud their professionalism and dedication!
Congratulations also go out to Jean Delva, our January Aide of the Month! An eight-year veteran of FCS Home Care Services, Jean began his career as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) shortly after fleeing his native Haiti following the 2010 earthquake.

“The nurses and staff treated me with such respect and kindness. They gave me the confidence to do this job, and I do it with pleasure,” Jean says. You can read more about his journey on this month's blog.
