Saying it was with mixed feelings, Deborah Zilai, Chair of the FCS Board of Directors, announced the retirement of FCS CEO Delly Beekman after nearly six years at the agency's helm and more than two decades of service as a volunteer. In a letter to friends and supporters, Ms. Zilai pointed out that under Delly’s leadership, FCS has become a much stronger agency in terms of program growth and financial sustainability.
"Delly led the expansion of our Adult Protective Services (APS) program to Middlesex County, supported the rapid growth of our Representative Payee program and launched our Medicare Application Assistance Program (MAPP)," Ms. Zilai explained. "Her professional commitment, kindness, and tireless dedication to FCS have helped us fulfill our Mission and Vision. The Board, her staff and colleagues will greatly miss Delly's inspiration, guidance and friendship."
The Board will begin its search for a successor later this year.
