UH Mānoa College of Education Information Session


This session is open to the public and is for anyone who may be interested in learning about our statewide online teacher licensure programs at the undergraduate and graduate level! The College of Education (COE) at UH Mānoa offers a variety of teacher licensure programs that can be taken from any island in the state. Join us to learn more or ask questions about our programs, funding available to support tuition costs, and how to apply! The session will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Kauai CC LRC 124A. Ku‘i Kalo


Taropy Tuesday was enhanced this past week with approximately 40 people gathering to “ku‘i kalo.” It was a great learning experience for all ages and all levels of experience. The next opportunity to learn how poi is made will be held on Lā Kū‘oko‘a at our Campus Pa‘ina beginning at noon Tues, Nov. 28 at the ahu.

Welcome! New Nursing Instructor

Julie A. Moseley - Nursing Instructor


Julie Anne Moseley, a thirty-one-year career nurse began her nursing journey in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she received her nursing diploma. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Florida International University afterward. From there, she cared for patients as a medical/surgical nurse, a critical care nurse and unit educator. After completing her Masters in Nursing Leadership in 2015 at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, she served as a system wide clinical nurse specialist. She moved into clinical leadership in a tertiary care medical center in Portland, Oregon as a way of giving back to the profession.

What are you Thankful for? Wall

When: Tuesday, Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where:  Student Lounge

Come and acknowledge whatever you are thankful for! We will have a "What are you Thankful for?" Wall at the Student Lounge from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Lā Kū‘oko‘a Events

When: Monday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. - noon

Where: Kauhale at the Hawaiian Studies Building

Drop off your t-shirt at the Kauhale at the Hawaiian Studies building between 11 a.m. - noon, black and white ink available (white ink is limited, first come first serve). Pick up will be the following day (Nov 28), same location, from noon - 2 p.m.

When: Tuesday, Nov. 28 from noon - 2 p.m.

Where:  Hawaiian Studies Building

Piko will start at noon followed by food, a live kapa making demonstration, konane instructor, ku‘i kalo and more!

When: Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 1-2 p.m.

Where: OCET 106 C/D

Learn about campus leadership and governance, provide opportunity for input, and review action plans in progress for improvement in OCET 106 C/D from 1-2 p.m.

UH campaign reminds Hawaiʻi: ‘There’s a place for you’

The second year of the University of Hawaiʻi statewide marketing campaign, “There’s a place for you” officially launched on October 11 for at least a five month run with ads on social media platforms and local television and radio stations. The goal is to remind all Hawaiʻi residents that no matter where you are in your life journey, there is a place for you at UH to pursue your academic and career goals.
