Announcements

Hawaiiana and Pacific Children's Books

The Library has added many children's books focused on Hawaii & Pacific related topics, some in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi or in both English and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. Purchase of these books were funded by the Title III Kūkulu Aʻe grant. These books have been very popular with our students with children. We'll be continuing to add more of these books over the next few months.

Mālama Meals

A couple weeks ago, Hale Mālama put on its first ever Mālama Meals in the Library! We served 40 students a free meal of chili and rice. As a trial run, it was a success! We ran out earlier than expected, but hope to see everyone back the next time. We all know how nice it is to have a warm lunch, so Hale Mālama created Mālama Meals with the intention to provide students with an occasional hot meal on campus and a chance to take a break from their busy days to reset. Follow our Instagram @hale_malama_kauaicc for future announcements of our upcoming meals, and a huge mahalo to those who donated cutlery and other items!
