‘Alekoko ‘Āina Academy

Nā Pua No‘eau, Kaua‘i Community College, and Mālama Hulē‘ia presents the 2023 ‘Alekoko ‘Āina Academy. Earn free college credit! We're offering Hawaiian Studies 107 Center of the Pacific (3 credits) this summer at Mālama Hulē‘ia. Open to haumāna (Grade 9-12) and mākua (parents). Learn about the unique aspects of Hawai‘i and Hawaiian culture in relation to the larger Pacific including origins, language, religion, land, art, history, and current issues. The purpose of this event is to celebrate Earth Day with the students of KCC's Hawaiian Club and the members of the Sustainability Committee. We will begin with Piko at the Ahu at 12:00, followed by food and sustainability-related activities at the Hawaiian Studies Building.

"Siddhartha: Seeker of Truth" a new musical by Music Professor Greg Shepherd

When: May 4-7 and May 11-14

Where: War Memorial Convention Hall


Kauai Community College will present the world premiere of the musical “Siddhartha: Seeker of Truth.” The play tells the story of a young man named Arthur Hope, Jr. who reads the classic novel “Siddhartha” and sets off on his own journey in search of the meaning of life.

Wai’ale’ale Project


The Waiʻaleʻale Project has helped nearly 1,000 students from Kaua’i and Ni’ihau — who otherwise would not have gone to college — to successfully navigate the college system with financial assistance, counseling and mentorship.
