Startup Training Resources to Inspire Veteran Entrepreneurship (STRIVE) 

STRIVE leverages networks and education resources in local communities to support and advance veteran owned businesses - May 8th, 2023- July 3rd, 2023, Monday nights 5:30pm-8:30pm in the KCC Welding Classroom. Applications due by by April 11.

KCC Receives Education Grant

This week KCC was awarded a $1.7 million TCUP for Secondary and Elementary Teachers in STEM (TSETS) grant through NSF to work with local elementary and middle schools to improve math education for Kaua‘i students.

Now Accepting Wai‘ale‘ale Applications

The Wai'ale'ale Project offers scholarships and academic support to participants who would like to take a few classes, or complete an entire academic program to receive Certificates and Associate Degrees. Please email [email protected] or call 808-245-8383.

Title IX Training for Students - Correction

When: April 6 and April 20 @ 11 a.m. - noon

Students will be able to learn more about Federal Government and University of Hawaii policies on sex discrimination/violence, gender discrimination/violence, receiving help, filing complaints, and more. YWCA Sexual Assault Awareness Month Sign Waving

When: Tuesday, April 4 @ 12-1 p.m.

Where: County of Kaua`i Building


April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The YWCA of Kauai will be organizing a sign waving event at the County of Kaua`i building on April 4th from 12-1pm. Anyone is welcome to participate. A limited number of signs will be provided for the event, and you're also welcome to create your own signs. We hope to see you there! For more information, contact Amber at 808-723-2571.


The Mokihana Club Benefit Concert

When: Saturday, April 8 @ 7 p.m.

Where: Kaua`i Beach Resort, Jasmine Ballroom


Three-time Granny and Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner, Kalani Pe`a, will be hosting a concert and auction. Proceeds will benefit The Mokihana Club Nursing Scholarship Fund.

Boots to Business Reboot

When: Thursday, April 20 @ 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: OCET Room 105


Boots to Business Reboot is an entrepreneurial education/training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) via the Veteran’s Business Outreach Center (VBOC). The morning session focuses on business concepts and the afternoon session will be a hands on session focusing on quickbooks, bookkeeping, taxes and financials for small businesses.
