Blind Date with a Book
Blind Date with a Book is returning for more fun! Select a book without knowing its title. Is it love at first sight? Or, maybe you need to digest a few chapters before knowing you are compatible.
How does this work? Select a covered book from our special display, sign it out, but wait until you are home to unwrap it and meet your date. Get to know your book over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine!
Complete the 'Rate your Date' card (included with each book) by February 28 for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

Isaiah Rashad
Join us on Thursday, February 10 at 6:30 PM for an in-person book talk with Isaiah Rashad. Isaiah will be discussing his new book, Homicide of a Rat, a book which raises questions about what is right and what is wrong? In today's modern society of uncertainty, these questions are answered through the real life stories of murder, deception and betrayal from the view of a gang member, United States Army soldier of war and Police Officer. You may just discover that what you believe to be wrong, may just be right.

Creative Writing
Contest

Former English teacher and local author, Bill Robertson led participants in an introductory creative writing exercise during the first Creative Writing session (virtually, January 20th). Individuals are now encouraged to try their hand at creating a colorful character of their own and entering their work in our Creative Writing Contest by
Saturday, February 19. Adults and teens are welcome to participate. Winning entries will win a copy of Robinson's book, "More Stories from the Olden Days," and a BACC gift certificate. Entries can be delivered to the Circulation desk or emailed.
Building Blocks

Judy Brown, owner of the Little Fabric Garden will return with another great project! Thread those sewing machines and get ready to make the project your own! Building Blocks is a prerecorded program that will premier to the library's Facebook page and YouTube channel when the project becomes available. Many of our past works can be found on the library's YouTube channel. Project/Date (TBA)
Copy Cat

Join us for a fun, in-person program on Wednesday, February 16 at 6 PM when Janelle Nolan demonstrates how to make beautiful crepe paper flowers. Each flower can hide a secret piece of chocolate also!

Story Seekers is a fun-filled program for 0-5 year old children and their parents or caregivers. Hear great stories, sing a few songs, and complete a craft or two! Story Seekers meets every Monday and Friday at 11 AM.
