ECONOMIC FORECAST: THE FUTURE COULD BE BRIGHT
Last week, the Chamber hosted its annual Horizons Economic Forecast Breakfast to reflect on the progress of the region and consider how that progress might manifest into the future.

There's a general consensus: The City of Destiny is experiencing a renaissance, but it also is at a crossroads where thoughtful planning is crucial.

TACOMA ICON RECOGNIZED ON A NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SCALE
The Tacoma Dome broke a personal record when it earned the No. 15 position in the U.S. and No. 20 in the world from Billboard Magazine, as well as No. 19 in the U.S. and No. 33 in the world from Pollstar for the two leading music publication's Year End Ticket Sales charts.

Congratulations, Tacoma Dome!

A CELEBRATION OF A HEALTHY WORKPLACE
The Chamber recognizes local employers who have made a commitment to creating a healthy work environment. Help us celebrate these Pierce County businesses that make health and wellness a priority in their workplaces.

HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF PIERCE COUNTY'S PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The county adopted a long range plan in 2016 that maps out expanded choices for bus service in the area over the next several decades, and the aim of the scheduled open houses is to receive feedback — like routes, bus frequency, earlier or later service, capital improvements, and more — and update the plan.

Share your thoughts on how Pierce County can shape transportation and improve future transit services in your local community!

RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE
World Trade Center Tacoma's Globe Award recognizes companies and individuals excelling in international trade and trade promotion and acknowledges the importance of trade to the Washington State economy. Awards will be presented to organizations or individuals who exemplify the mission of the WTC Tacoma –  We Grow Trade .
