Find out what Starship Travel has been up to!
Starship Travel will be taking group trips to Australia in 2020, and South America in 2021. Our group trips have been very successful; our most recent trip was to South Africa. It was an incredible experience- read all about it in our newest blog post! Starship Travel has been preparing for our 5th Annual Travel Show that will be taking place on March 8th, 2020 from 10am to 2pm. We would love to see you!
2019 in Pictures and Words
2019 was very busy for Starship Travel. We had several big trips, including a two-week group trip to Dubai and South Africa. Our newest blog post is a quick wrap up of all the places we have been and all the adventures we have had in 2019, accompanied by some of our favorite pictures.

Disney World and the Citrus Bowl
South Elgin Dance Team took a trip to Disney World to kick off the New Decade by dancing at the Citrus Bowl. My granddaughter, Frankie, and her team got to dance on the field at the Alabama vs Michigan game, and then celebrate the New Year in Disney World's Hollywood Studios. Disney does celebrations better than anyone, with fireworks and a countdown party in every park.

Australian Bush Fires
Although the fires in Australia are catastrophic to the wildlife, the animals and the people living nearby, it is important to realize that all of Australia is not on fire. Some parts of Australia are perfectly fine and safe to travel to. Travel2 says, "It is important that we don’t let panic set in and scare people off from visiting our beautiful Australia...Tourism generates $110 billion in economic activity every year and in the last few years it has been among the most resilient of industries with continued growth." This is not to downplay the severe tragedy of these deadly fires, it is simply an article informing travelers of their safety and of their impact on rebuilding Australia's economy after this devastating disaster.
Come Along with Starship to South America
Unpack once and see Chile, Argentina and Uruguay with Starship Travel's South American Cruise in 2021. In February of 2021, we will be taking a 14-night cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette ship and discovering the beautiful beaches, gorgeous towns and the rich culture of South America. Cruises are much easier than touring each country individually because guests only have to unpack one time, and the rest of the time is spent exploring.
Cruises to take in 2020
Knock many places off of your travel bucket list in just one journey with a tropical cruise. Cruises allow guests to unpack once, and see many places while enjoying all that the ports have to offer.

Tahiti and Society Islands cruise will take you to see Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea, and give guests opportunities to snorkel in the lagoon, swim with reef sharks, take an outrigger canoe ride or relax on Matira Beach. The luxury line holds 332 passengers with three dining venues, a spa and a water-sports marina. The cruise offers a variety of South Pacific itineraries, and will sail on select dates throughout 2020.

The Southern Caribbean tends to be less visited, so cruises to these regions are perfect to relax peacefully. Princess cruises offers a variety of itineraries of varying lengths. The Dominica port has lush waterfall hikes, Antigua has gorgeous beaches, and Martinique has abundant cultural history with a touch of French flair. Cruises depart on select dates throughout the winter, spring and fall.

Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise line that will take guests to ports such as Cozumel, Key West, Costa Maya and Playa del Carmen. Guests will be able to take advantage of many excursions at these ports, along with gorgeous beaches. The ship, Scarlet Lady, will make its maiden voyage in April 2020. Virgin Voyages will draw a younger crowd due to their short itineraries, sleek ambiance and plenty of on board nightlife.
