CHANGE OF PLANS
Last month, I was set to leave for an amazing Mexican destination, San Miguel de Allende. The weather in San Miguel at this time of the year has warm days, cool nights and low humidity unlike most popular beach destinations. Not to mention stunning architecture, delicious food and amazing experiences!

But unfortunately, the trip was cancelled at the last minute due to Covid. I ALWAYS recommend that my clients test before traveling regardless if it's required or not.

And that's exactly what my husband and I did. He tested positive, while I tested negative twice. I knew I had been exposed and didn't want to endanger other travelers, the people in Mexico or have to quarantine in a foreign country, so I stayed home. Fortunately, my husband is back to his normal self and I was able to avoid transmission.

But it was a good reminder that STUFF HAPPENS!

+ it is always better to be safe than sorry.
IS TRAVEL INSURANCE WORTH IT?
Spoiler Alert: YES!

Of course, the above experience had me thinking about travel insurance. I never go without it. And neither should you!

Let me give you an example. My marketing assistant, Kate, was planning a trip to Negril, Jamaica at the beginning of January. Jamaica currently requires a negative PCR test within 3 days of your departure flight as well as another negative test before you can return the US. Feeling uneasy about the spike in cases due to the Omicron variant, she cancelled her trip one week before. A quick text to her travel advisor, and within a week she was able to get her money fully refunded. All because she had travel insurance.

But it's important to note that not all travel insurance policies are created equal. Working with a travel advisor is the only way to make sure you're getting the right protection for your investment!

Peace of mind is priceless.
PLACES IN MEXICO TO VISIT THIS YEAR
No, I'm not talking about Cabo, Cancun or even Tulum. When it comes to Mexico, it's time to think outside the box and enjoy all the wonderful things this beautiful country has to offer aside from blue skies and sandy beaches.

In the article linked below, the author describes a “Pueblo Mágico" as "a town or village with symbols, legends, and history that in many cases has been the scene of momentous events for Mexico. They are places that show the national identity in each of its corners, with a magic that emanates from its attractions; visiting them is an opportunity to discover the charm of our country."

Currently, there are 100+ Pueblos Mágicos in Mexico. If you've made a resolution to travel more this year, here are 5 of the top Pueblos Mágicos that you should add to your bucket list.

Have you traveled to any of the places listed?

REDUCED RESTRICTIONS
For the Republic of Ireland, England and Scotland Travel
Finally some good news! People arriving in Ireland, England or Scotland from the U. S. will no longer have to take COVID tests if they are fully vaccinated.

Ireland is good to go now and the change for England and Scotland will take effect on February 11th. The rules are also relaxing for unvaccinated travelers, but they still have some hoops to jump through.

Entry and departure requirements change constantly, so it is always a good practice to review the status closer to your departure date to ensure you don't miss something important before your flight, no matter where your travels take you.

Are Ireland, England or Scotland on your travel bucket list?

Let's start planning!
My Happy Clients
“My husband and I used Wendy for our honeymoon trip to Maui and her services were absolutely amazing! Planning a wedding is always stressful and Wendy was able to make planning our honeymoon the least stressful part of our wedding.

She is so easy to communicate with and has so many great ideas for extra activities to add into your itinerary. I highly recommend working with Wendy! We will definitely be going through her again for our next trip!”
