An article by Jason Marshall, The Chamber Ecosystem, comes to mind. It discusses the interdependence of the business community. The Chamber's role is to help build a space for businesses to interact and support each other. Big business cannot exist without small businesses and vice versa. The Chamber's role is to work with its members or "chamber partners".
There is a misconception that if you join the chamber, the chamber will create business for you. The chamber is here to support you and provide opportunities for business success.
Opportunities vary from personal introductions to attendance at events to other brand / business promotion. The staff and I are happy to help you by finding the right opportunities to support your business.
