Finding Empowered Contentment!
“I will be glad and rejoice in YOU” Psalms 9:2
God is the only One who can truly satisfy your heart’s desire for completeness, fulfillment and contentment. Everything else is as Solomon says, “Vanity and grasping for the wind” Ecc.1:14
Whenever I begin to feel lonely, rejected or don’t belong, instead of turning to the obvious, Family, Friends, Church, my successes and attainments, I turn to God. He alone knows how to bring that profound intimacy of empowered contentment about in my life. “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.” Ps. 62:5
Once you recognize this and turn to the Lord to satisfy your loneliness and belonging, you are in a deep quest for your God. It is in this kind of faith-Faith in Gods’ love and watchful care that Jesus found His empowered contentment. So it has been with all the great and noblest through the ages. Individuals like Enoch, Noah, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Mary, John the Baptist and so it must be with you and I.
Only our Savior can provide everything we need to live a peaceful, joyful, fulfilling life. So stop depending upon people and institutions for your emotional and social dependence and look to Jesus first and foremost to satisfy the needs of your heart.

“It is better to trust in the Lord then to put confidence in man” Ps.118:8
“God shall supply all my needs according to His riches” Phil. 4:19
I’ve learned and still am learning that my lonely moments teach me more deeply how needy I am of my God. My experience is that loneliness fades as I embrace and accept it as helping me to find God in a deeper way.
