We must work together to heal, to rebuild, to reorient our moral compass. @Larry Master
Dear Friends,

Adirondack Foundation strongly condemns the violence in the attack on the United States Capitol on Wednesday aimed at undermining our democracy. These actions were undemocratic, unlawful, and reprehensible, wrapped in white privilege. We applaud the United States Senate and House of Representatives for resuming their duties just hours after their lives were threatened, and we echo the ensuing voices that denounce these horrendous acts and call for peace and unity.

What does this mean for us in the Adirondacks? The board and staff of Adirondack Foundation are as committed as ever to deploy philanthropic and leadership capital to strengthen our communities by fostering constructive dialogue, helping provide for basic needs, creating opportunity, and fighting for economic and racial justice. We must work together to heal, to rebuild, and to reset our moral compass.

Communities are the heart of our nation. Please join us as we help find common ground through honest debate and meaningful discourse.  Now more than ever, we need to celebrate acts of generosity and inspire others. Together we can and must do the hard work ahead.
