Finding Strength & Refuge in These Times

Greetings Beloved Community,

What a wild couple of weeks, months, and years it has been! How can we hold it all? I hope you feel that we are here for you. It’s time to gather together to find strength and refuge in our practice and each other. It’s a time to nurture ourselves, and/or to also reach out to someone who needs your help.

It’s that time of year when we are reminded to express our gratitude for the people in our lives, and the opportunities we’ve been given. To each one of you, I express my sincere gratitude; you are part of our community. I offer each one of you a deep bow of reverence, as you are the heartbeat of what we offer.

These past weeks have been a deep practice of non-attachment. I invite us to not let the challenges harden us, and to instead drop back into our hearts and continue to do our work, the work of righteous action, of knowledge over ignorance (avidya). I invite us to continue to show up for ourselves, again and again. As we do so, we have the strength to show up for the collective, helping to co-create the world in which we wish to live.

Beneath the chaos, as we begin to recover from natural disaster and election divisiveness, an undercurrent of resilience pulses through us. May we move forward, together, with both courage and grace. Let’s not sink back, but continue to show up, and ask ourselves, “How can we be in service and live a more heart-centered life?” As indigenous wisdom teaches us, “when we heal ourselves, we heal the next seven generations”.

How can we make our light shine bright, so we can hand it down to the next generation?

In peace and with gratitude,

Valerie and the Neighborhood Family

December 14: A Day with Luna Ray

use buttons below to register for each event

If you haven't experienced Luna's music before, you're in for a treat. She has a unique gift of transposing traditional mantras into melodic compositions that are both beautiful and inspiring! Luna's music slides right into your heart, and opens a space of deep rooted connection, bringing people together in an extraordinary way.

There are two opportunities to connect with Luna and her music.

At 3:30 p.m., Valerie and Luna join forces on a special yoga class with live music and at 7 p.m.. she will be leading a kirtan and concert. There is very limited space for the yoga class. Both of these are special event pricing, meaning that regular class passes are not accepted for these events.
