Available Now Items in Acton

Find materials to borrow through curbside pickup

Looking for something new to read, listen to or watch? Hoping to borrow library materials through curbside pickup and take a break from digital?

At this time we are asking library users to limit holds to items that are currently listed as "Available" in Acton.

Here's how to narrow your catalog search to only items that are currently available in Acton:
  1. Go to the Minuteman catalog and type your search term in the general search box (for instance, "gardening" or "Sue Grafton").
  2. On the left side of the screen, under Format, choose the formats you are interested in. To choose more than one format, click on "more" and click the formats you would like to include. For instance, you might select both "Book" (regular type) and "Large Print".
  3. Click "Apply" to update the search results.
  4. Under Location, click "Acton". Use the Location refinement, which indicates your library, not the Collections refinement, which indicates adult or children's materials.
  5. Under Availability, click "At a library" (which means, on the shelf right now).

All of the titles listed in your search results should now show as being Available in Acton, which means you can request any of them for curbside pickup.

After placing your requests, please wait for an email saying your holds are ready. If the library does not have an email address for you, the library will call you when your items are ready. We ask for your patience with this process, as pulling holds is taking longer than usual due to high demand and safety procedures.

When your holds are ready, you can schedule a curbside pickup appointment online or by calling the Circulation Department at 978-929-6655 option 2.
