The Able Trust to Host College Night Exploratory Event

The Able Trust invites Florida students with disabilities to our College Night event, to be held on Zoom Tuesday, February 11, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Materials for the event will be presented by the Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) Group. HSHT Helps Musically Talented Student Build Confidence

A self-taught musician, Palm Beach County's Patrick joined High School High Tech after unsuccessfully applying to a local music production certification program. HSHT helped Patrick build his confidence and improve his communication skills so much that, within one year, he reapplied to the music production program and was accepted! Op-Ed Emphasizes Economic Benefits of Postsecondary Education

Helios Education Fund President and CEO Paul J. Luna and Florida Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Mark Wilson co-authored a commentary piece for the Orlando Sentinel, drawing a clear link between postsecondary education and economic prosperity. The authors add that a wide range of postsecondary pathways, from college coursework to certification and credential programs, is essential to meeting Florida's future economic needs.

High School High Tech Conference Highlights

The Able Trust recently held the 2024-25 High School High Tech (HSHT) Conference, an annual event in which High School High Tech coordinators come together for training, to hear from experts in transition services, and to share best practices. This important conference ensures our partners have the resources they need to provide their HSHT students with information and experiences that help them as they plan for education and career opportunities after high school. The conference culminated in an awards program that recognized their contributions, and we congratulate these awardees!
