Always be on the lookout for the presence of wonder."

I’ve always loved canyons; they’ve been my favorite places to explore and discover, as well as drive through. I feel there’s a sense of awe and wonder at every turn, bringing me a new perspective. I remember when I lived in Southern California, my original home, I would often drive from my home in Woodland Hills through Topanga Canyon when I was working or meeting some friends in Santa Monica or West L.A. As soon as I entered the canyon, I would feel a beautiful peace embrace me. I would open my sunroof and even in winter with the sunroof open, I’d run my heater because I loved the feel of the canyon.

I find there is such a rich tapestry within the canyons, and my favorites right now are in Sedona. It’s like entering another world of wonder. Some of the canyons have high walls and cool streams and all are like lands of enchantment.

I also find it’s a great place to breathe and allow insights to come to me, whether I have an agenda or not. It really does fill me with the whimsical and wonder that the natural world so invites me to engage with.

I invite you to find your special place where you feel embraced by the natural world.

My lifelong passion and professional work has been in photography, creating with people in the natural world along with all of Earth’s Family. And…in the last three years I have fallen in love with creating nature guardians in clay.

I’ve just had the wonderful privilege to have several of my nature guardians juried into the Whim and Wonder show in Prescott, Arizona. I’m sharing the venue with you because I feel this show reflects how artists have created from this magical place within their hearts, in all mediums.

WHIM & WONDER

Show Dates: April 29 – June 27

Whim & Wonder – a celebration of imagination, curiosity, and the magic of creativity. This show encourages artists to explore the playful, the mysterious, and the unexpected—whether through fantastical imagery, dreamlike scenes, imaginative characters, or moments of beauty that spark a sense of awe. Artists are invited to interpret the theme in their own unique way, allowing their work to transport viewers into worlds filled with creativity, surprise, and delight.

What is the good of your stars and trees,

your sunrise and the wind,

if they do not enter into our daily lives?"
