New Resource on HABs

As suggested at our July membership meeting, we’ve added a new page to our website with tips on how to identify harmful algal blooms (HABs) and report them.

Check it out here https://findleylakewf.org/pages/harmful-algal-blooms.asp

This time of year, the lake often looks green, but that doesn’t always mean it’s a HAB or unsafe to swim. Knowing the signs helps us all stay safe and informed.

If you do report a HAB on Findley Lake with the DEC, please also email us your photos and the location details. We’ll share them on our website to help track conditions and keep the community updated.

Thank you for helping us protect Findley Lake!
