Tax Season Finish Line
We are busy finishing up the processing of tax returns and extensions. If you are still waiting to review your returns, you should receive them along with your e-file authorization forms by Noon tomorrow, April 15. Please return the signed authorization forms promptly so we can file your returns by Saturday, April 16.  The deadline this year is April 18, but we are closing early that day and will not be filing any returns after Noon.
Extension payments must be post-marked by Monday, April 18.  Make the checks out to United States Treasury for federal extensions and include the social security number of the primary taxpayer and the form number. If you are dropping off an extension payment to our office, it must be here by 10:00 AM on Monday.

We want to extend our appreciation for your cooperation and patience as we near the end of another crazy endurance race called "tax season!"
For much-needed rest, our office will be closed from 3:00 PM April 18 until 8:00 AM April 21.
For  federal returns, check in with Where's My Refund to track the progress of your return as Received, Refund approved, or Refund sent. You will need your SSN, filing status, and refund amount. Expect to wait up to 21 days after the return was e-filed (or 6 weeks if it was paper-filed) for your refund.
For state returns, the Colorado Dept. of Revenue has announced that taxpayers may experience delays in refunds up to 60 days due to enhanced measures for detecting tax refund fraud. To check the status at Revenue Online, you will need your SSN and the refund amount (or Letter ID from recent correspondence).
