Revealing the Sculpture Design of Mary, Mother of Fairest Love We are pleased to announce that the design of the sculpture of Mary, Mother of Fairest Love is complete, and we are now moving on to the sculpting phase! This sculpture design was made by Florence-based sculptor, Cody Swanson. For our project, Cody spent considerable time perfecting the embrace of Our Lady around the Christ Child. This process included using his own son as a model, by dressing him in a tunic, similar to the one in the model, and placing him in the arms of his mother.  In the months ahead, as Cody begins working on the marble, we’ll share more about each of these artistic decisions and how they tell us who Mary, Mother of Fairest Love is.  See full image and read full blog post in the link below!
