In November 2018, we shared the plans, which God had been preparing us to do for several years. During this upcoming season of life as missionaries, our family will travel state to state throughout the nation and beyond. We are grateful for everything the Lord has been doing over this past year to accelerate our preparations in amazing ways.

In November, we began our inaugural journey without an RV. After visiting family for Thanksgiving, we headed to Notasulga, Alabama for our first Blessing Bags event on the road. We also had the privilege of handing out Blessing Bags in Graceville, Florida; LaGrange and Commerce, Georgia; and, Richmond, Virginia.

Having not yet obtained an RV, we stayed in 6 different B&Bs during our two weeks of travels. In comparison to our traditional hotel arrangements, the B&Bs were accommodating and more cost effective for a family of our size. Based on our time at these B&Bs, we quickly realized B&Bs are not a sustainable way to accommodate our family while traveling across the country.

Upon our return to northern Virginia, we hosted a Blessing Bags event at McLean Bible Church in Vienna, Virginia. In January, we have another Blessing Bags event in Falls Church, Virginia. Currently, we are continuing preparations for this new season of life as full-time missionaries to begin in January.

Over the past 6 years, God has used people like you to support this ministry, making what we do possible. Currently, our most urgent need is obtaining a 5th wheel trailer to accommodate our family, serve as our ministry’s headquarters, and enable us to host church services at various parks and campsites throughout the nation. We have found a few options, which we could make work. The amount needed to purchase one of these options is $20,000 - $30,000, which is a big need. Yet, we serve a bigger God! He is calling us to do BIG things right now! We trust God to provide everything needed in His ways and perfect timing.

After a year of research and writing, it’s finally finished! Jennifer’s book “Growing a Servant’s Heart: 52 Gospel-Centered Service Projects for Families with Children of All Ages” was released this month and is now available on Amazon.

This book provides families with practical ways to continue sharing the Gospel and demonstrating God’s love through families serving together. Our ministry will make this exciting tool available to families at Blessing Bags events. Just as exciting, ALL of the proceeds from the book will be donated to Blessing Bags International, helping support our mission.

Help us find these United Airlines travel bags! Any version of these bags is welcome! Our ministry has been blessed in the past with hundreds of these bags. Unfortunately, our contact is no longer receiving them. The content from these bags enables us to considerably reduce the cost of making Blessing Bags for the homeless!
