Part 2: Supporting Community Associations During the Coronavirus Pandemic
We are continuing to bring you updates regarding the Coronavirus pandemic and its impact on community associations. On Thursday night March 19, 2020, Governor Newsom issued an Executive Order which requires all non-essential employees to stay home as a means of preventing the further spread of the Coronavirus. This directive took place immediately and does not have an end date noted.

What does this mean for associations and association management? You are invaluable to the essential operations of your association. However, the Governor’s office does not specifically include management services or operations of associations in the list of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During COVID-19 crisis. Each management company and onsite managed association will need to evaluate which workers are able to work from home and those who are essential to the on-going support of the community association and its operations.
