Watch here: As firestorms continue to rage in the Pacific Palisades and foothills above the San Gabriel Valley, Bishop John Harvey Taylor reflects on ways to “reclaim our oneness in Christ” amid the crisis, inviting relief gifts to the diocesan One Body & One Spirit Appeal.

Fire Response: How You Can Help

PLEASE DONATE TODAY

Dear Siblings in Christ,

Experiencing the impact of the devastating wildfires within our diocese can leave us feeling helpless, but there is something we can do. We can make donations directly to the diocesan One Body & One Spirit Appeal Fund so that financial aid can be provided to those who have lost homes, churches, schools, employment, and more. Until further notice, all donations to the Appeal will be used to help institutions and individuals most affected by the fires. No gift is too small. Please join us in making your donation today.

Yours in Christ's love,

The Rt. Rev. John Harvey Taylor, VII Bishop of Los Angeles

The Rev. Canon Melissa McCarthy, Canon to the Ordinary

Every dollar raised through the Appeal goes right back out the door directly to those in need. Funds are distributed by the Corporation of the Diocese with no administrative cost.

Some donors may wish to contribute to Episcopal Relief & Development, which will route mission-focused grants back to affected communities. But for now, gifts to the diocesan Appeal are the fastest, most direct way to help local Episcopalians in need.

Links to additional fire-response resources are here.

Please join the 286 donors who, to date, have raised $384,646 in 541 gifts to the 2022-25 One Body & One Spirit Annual Appeal.
