Worship Online or On Campus This Weekend
Sunday @ 8:15am & 10:45am
Firestarters and Peacemakers: Our sermon series on love heats up
Ever lost your cool in a situation or with a person? It's normal to get angry, but it makes it hard for us to love God’s way if we’re ruled by our tempers. This Sunday, Pastor Don will tackle this tough subject and offer practical steps to help us all pursue peace and act as peacemakers.

We will also be partaking in Holy Communion this Sunday - on campus and online. For those joining on campus, we have disposable pre-packaged containers with a wafer and juice. These will be handed out during both services. If you're planning to worship from home, please have bread or a cracker and some juice/water available.
Fasting from Criticism
Last Sunday, Pastor Don challenged us to fast from criticism, and instead, replace our critical thoughts and words with acts of kindness. How are you doing in the challenge? There's still time. And if you missed last Sunday's message, you can watch it below or at hfumc.org/media.
A Financial Update from our Finance Committee
Our sincere gratitude goes out to our congregation as you continue to support our church home and ministries during these challenging times. COVID-19 banking regulations allowed us to defer three months of our loan payments, which helped our year-to-date expenses stay below revenues. Your support will remain imperative as we slowly resume additional programs and activities. HFUMC is blessed to have such a loyal and generous congregation. Thank you.

Small Groups Update: Youth Group returns in full force, still time to share your thoughts on School Survey & Confirmation kicks off Sept. 13
This past Sunday, our Youth Group returned on campus with 52 students in attendance! We want to send a big thank you to the youth and their parents for making Youth Group a priority. We have missed you, and it was so good to have you back in His house!

The next step in our return to small groups is a meeting for the parents of our 2021 Confirmation Class. It will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, at 5pm in the Sanctuary. That same night, we will also launch our fall Discipleship Groups, as well as our fall Study Groups. Some will be online; others will be held on campus. Visit HFUMC.org/groups to view all discipleship and study group offerings and to sign up.

Lastly, we are still gathering feedback regarding the return of Sunday School offerings. Please click the button to take our short survey if you haven't done so yet.
Fall Break Food Bins
Our Fall Break Food Bins have arrived! They will be in the atrium this Sunday and available for pickup. More details will shared during service.
