Fireworks & Fish, Fur Rondy!

Dear Friends,

As the light begins to return, Alaska is abuzz with anticipation of one of the state's most famous and celebrated events - the 84th annual Fur Rondy! Fur Rondy is Alaska's biggest winter festival, with a schedule full of events that celebrate winter and life in the Last Frontier.

As we gather to celebrate the state sport, let's also celebrate the fish that sustain our lifestyles, our livelihoods, and our families. We at AMCC sincerely appreciate all of the salmon stewards - especially our members - that help us to continue our uniquely Alaskan way of life by protecting and supporting our oceans, our ecosystems, and our local food harvesters.

To that end, we're throwing a party! We want to say thank you to AMCC members, and encourage more stewards to come down and check out our work. AMCC's downtown office is a prime viewing location for the Fur Rondy fireworks show on Saturday, February 23. Fireworks start at 6:55pm sharp, so from 5:30pm - 7:30pm we'll be serving seafood chowder care of Catch 49, hot drinks, and live music. Come warm up and watch the fireworks with AMCC!

The event is free for current AMCC members, and $30 for individual non-members (admission includes membership!). Families are welcome, and family discounts apply.

Please RSVP to fish@akmarine.org!
