A note to our Chamber members and weekly Blast readers - 

We are nearly one month out from the July 4th celebrations!

Our  Eastsound Fireworks show is Thursday, July 4 , and our Eastsound Community Parade is Saturday, July 6 .  We wanted to share fireworks & parade updates with you.
 
We promise not to inundate you with more emails . Raising funds for our July 4th Fireworks is important to the Chamber, and we hope you will consider being a Sponsor at a level noted below, or a Donor at any amount. Thank you in advance!
Fireworks Sponsorship & Donations
The Chamber is thrilled to report that our annual Fourth of July Fireworks show in
Eastsound is in-place, and ready to go on
Thursday, July 4th! We should have a 
bang-up show, all originating over the waters of Eastsound, starting at approximately 10 pm. The Community Band will be playing for those viewing from Waterfront Park. The Chamber knows the annual pyrotechnics show is an event that attracts many visitors to the island, and delights islanders of all ages! Our listing of 2018 Sponsors online .

We are asking for your help!
The cost of putting on a fireworks show has increased over the years. With stricter marine & Homeland Security regulations, higher costs of pyrotechnics, and a launching barge -- our total is $17,000. Unfortunately, the Chamber no longer can absorb the full cost into its operations budget, and we need your help to continue this grand island tradition!

Donations and contributions can be received all summer long!

We value every dollar received, even if you can't join our Sponsorship Levels. $10, $20 or $50 will go a long way to helping us keep this Orcas Island tradition alive.

Your donation for the Fireworks can be tax-deductible!  The Orcas Island Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has established a Community Fund available for donations. You can send in a check made payable to: OICF (PO Box 1496, Eastsound, WA 98245), or donate online at the Orcas Island Community Foundation  website . The link takes you to the OICF Fireworks Fund page. The Chamber send thanks to OICF for their in-kind donation of fund administration and accounting!

Community Parade Theme
"Celebrate the Seasons on Orcas Island"
It's a celebration of all that Orcas Island offers in each season. We kick off the parade at 12 noon on Saturday, July 6th. Want to take part? Here's the application  form  ... and it's also available at the Chamber office.

The Parade starts at the top of North Beach Road and works its way down to Main Street. $100 to the best entry, and two $50 gift certificates from Island Market to the runners-up!
