June 30, 2019 ~ Building Community One Positive Story at a Time
Farewell to Danielle Tierney

"Danielle Tierney, host of  Painting with Danielle , created her final masterpiece at the WHCA studio on April 26, as she has moved to Florida. The show, which began taping in early 2016, was able to complete 39 episodes before ceasing production. Danielle loved sharing her passion to paint, as she would transform a blank canvas into various landscapes or floral arrangements.
At the conclusion of her final production, a small farewell party was held to thank the departing producer for dedicating her time and talents to WHCA viewers. Danielle was presented with a card along with a pair of Bob Ross t-shirts (her favorite painter) and a crock pot. Besides painting, she loved to cook and bake treats, especially for the staff. Danielle decided to relocate to be closer to her family. We wish her a safe trip and many thanks for the wonderful programs she created for WHCA.  Painting with Danielle  can be seen weekday at 3:30pm on Comcast channel 9."

Historical Tidbit:

The Bethany Free Baptist Church

The church was built on the corner of West, and Washington St in 1893. The church was an offshoot of a Sunday School started at Ellis Hall.

The first reverend to speak was Rev. E. N. Fernald of Boston. The first service consisted of 100 people, and 38 children in the Sunday school program. The church was incorporated in June of 1890.

The church was taken down in the 1940's.

Respectfully Submitted, Greg Venezia

I am forever an optimist. A firm believer that nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America. It takes dedication from each of us to care enough to talk and listen to each other. To be a citizen and participate.
"Liberty is always dangerous, but it is the safest thing we have." ~Harry Emerson Fosdick

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4th, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."
 ~Erma Bombeck
"A battle lost or won is easily described, understood, and appreciated, but the moral growth of a great nation requires reflection, as well as observation, to appreciate it." ~
Frederick Douglass

Happy Independence Week, Everyone.
