Our Cedar Falls store is open regular hours every day.

Larry, 10, is the oldest and largest of the seven kangaroos on our farm. Rocket is 6 and Rooby is 2. The others are Rookie, 4; Roodolph, 3; Rooster, 1; and Roobarb, 11 months. All are Red Kangaroos, the largest among kangaroo species.

Our July Customer of the Month is Lauren Riensche.
Lauren first visited our farm on an FFA trip more than 10 years ago as a high school student.
During the tour, she sampled cheese curds, ice cream and butter. Today, she shops at our Tour Center retail store.
"I enjoy taking my urban friends and colleagues to experience this real, working dairy when I get the chance," Lauren says. "I'm actually lactose intolerant, pretty odd for a dairy customer of the month, but the process Hansen's uses to make their ice cream makes it easier for us dairy-challenged folks to eat it. That feels like a big win, because what's summer without ice cream?"
We agree! Summer isn't complete without Hansen's ice cream!

Our July Cow of the Month is one of the feistiest ladies in the barn.
The lively Lightsaber can be
a bit of a handful, Herd Manager Blake says.
She was born July 6, 2019, (happy 3rd birthday, Lightsaber!) and has had one calf -- a bull. Her second calf is due in September.
Lightsaber's favorite pastime is avoiding people, "always trying to find a way to escape from us humans," Blake jokes.
The force is with Lightsaber at milking time, however. She's shines bright in the parlor, always eager and willing to cooperate with the milking crew.
"When it comes to milking, she knows exactly what to do," Blake says.

Here's an oatmeal cookie recipe with a few tasty twists. It's made with maple syrup and works best when you use Hansen's Butter. Enjoy with a glass of Hansen's Milk!

Maple Syrup & Granola Cookies |

Prep time: 45 minutes (includes chill time)
Bake time: 10 minutes
Total time: 55+ minutes
Makes: about 6 dozen
|

Ingredients
- 2 cups Hansen’s Butter* – softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup Big Timber Maple Syrup*
- 1 egg*
- 4 cups flour
- 2 cups O'Brien's Own Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Gourmet Granola*
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
* Items that can be purchased at Hansen’s Dairy Stores

Directions
- In large mixing bowl, mix butter, sugar and syrup until creamy.
- Add egg and beat until well incorporated.
- Add in flour, granola and salt. Mix well.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes in refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Drop by teaspoon full (or cookie scoop) on parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350F for 12-15 minutes.
