Celebrate Independence With Us at Lake Boren Park!
We hope you'll join us for music, food, fireworks, and fun this Saturday, July 1, at Lake Boren Park! We have several food trucks to chose from, starting at 6:00 p.m. At 8:00, get ready to dance to live music from Soul Siren, followed by the grand finale at 10:00: A spectacular fireworks show over Lake Boren. We'll see you there!
|
With Independence Day just around the corner, remember that fireworks are illegal within the City of Newcastle.
Please don't call 911 to report fireworks, as it ties up the line for emergencies. Instead, you can call the Newcastle Police Department / King County Sheriff's Office non-emergency line at 206-296-3311.
Please note that there are certain exceptions to this law, such as for the upcoming private party at The Golf Club at Newcastle tonight, June 30, and the fireworks display for the public at Lake Boren Park on July 1. These exceptions can be made for those who have designated an appropriate time and place for their display, who have hired a pyrotechnics professional, and who have had their permit signed off by both the Bellevue Fire Department and the City of Newcastle. If you can meet this criteria and would like to apply for a fireworks permit, you may email permit@newcastlewa.gov to get this process started or to ask questions.
We wish you a safe and fun Independence Day!
