In the last 10 years, funding from our primary source (CA Prop 10) has declined by more than $500k.

The goal despite the budget hardship is to continue our outreach in support of Napa County kids. In short, our work continues to grow even as our funding is on the decline.

Looking for a side gig, or know someone who is?

First 5 is looking to increase our presence and support our outreach via Community Stewards, and we are hiring multiple applicants.

The work is part-time and flexible based on demand. Loving kids is a plus but the work is focused more on community outreach and events (not kid caretaking).

After less than six months, more than 1300 Napa County kids are enrolled in the monthly Imagination Library book program! That's 1 out of every 5 children in the County ages 0 - 5!

The books are entirely free and available in English or English-Spanish. Interested families can sign up here. Questions? Email us.

It's all through a lens of what's appropriate for families or those taking care of kids 0 - 5.
