Parenting Through the Phases

936 weeks. That’s the approximate time you have from the moment your child is born until he or she graduates from high school. It goes by fast, and kids change and grow quickly. Just as you begin to figure them out, they shift or move on to a new rhythm, a new habit, and a new opinion. It can make the responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to.

We know you want to make the most of each phase of your child’s life! To find out how, join us for Parenting Through the Phases, a small group study experience for parents of kids from birth through 12^th grade! Parenting Through the Phases will help you discover what’s changing about your kid over the next 52 weeks. We’ll also talk about the 6 things your kid needs most, and 4 conversations you’ll want to have with your kid starting today! Don’t miss out!

Song has a powerful way of helping us plant truth deep in our soul!

Through fun and engaging music, our kids encounter rich theological truth, learn about worship, and serve as worship leaders. We invite you to join in as our choirs are learning new music they'll share in worship this Spring.

Adult Sunday Morning Bible Studies

Our ongoing Sunday morning Bible studies for adults are a great community for deepening your discipleship. Here are our current ongoing offerings:

Digging Deeper Class | Room 204

A co-ed group of adults of all ages. This class led by Carol Conaway & Jim McConnell is currently studying the Book of Esther.

Masters Class | Conference Room

A co-ed group of adults of all ages, this class is currently studying Jesus Says, "Follow Me" led by Glen McKelvey.

Sonshine Class | Heritage Hall

A co-ed group composed primarily of retired adults, this class led by Doug Harrell & Judy Hall is also studying Jesus Says, "Follow Me".

Special Needs Class | Heritage Hall Room 2

This co-ed group for adults with intellectual disabilities is part of our Special Needs Ministry led by Paula James. Their current series is Mark's Stories About Jesus' Ministry.

St Pete Arts Academy Enrolling Now

The St. Pete Arts Academy is a new ministry of First Baptist! We will begin by offering small group and individual music lessons for kids in our community and a Middle School and High School Show Choir directed by our own Michael McCarthy.

Get Into Fitness Today (GIFT) Program

Thursdays, 10 a.m. | Beginning February 8

Our Health Ministry is sponsoring GIFT, a free program for you learn about nutrition and daily physical activity to help facilitate weight reduction. This 12-week class will be held on Thursdays 10-11 a.m. in Heritage Hall beginning February 8. Note: The class is more educational and offers only a light portion of exercise demonstrations.

The 2024 Offering Envelopes have arrived and are available for pick up.

You may collect yours from the table in the Narthex beginning this Sunday or by visiting the church office during the week. These envelopes begin Sunday, February 4.
