You are invited to the Vision 2025 Launch Lunch

Sunday, September 23 from 12:15 to 2:30 pm in the Family Life Center

In worship services in upcoming weeks, you will be getting snapshots of the Vision, but this lunch gathering is where, after a light lunch and main presentation, you will have opportunity to ask questions and even sign up to be part of one of our implementation teams. This will be an exciting, informative and holy gathering.

The Roll-out of Vision 2025 Begins

Late last summer, we began with 31 days of prayer. That was followed by a survey of our congregation to hear our hearts about the direction of our church. It was exciting to discover that the survey results revealed that the priorities of the Core Vision Team and the congregation were overwhelmingly similar. In the months since, the Core Vision Team has worked on broad initiatives that will shape the direction of our growth in ministry through 2025. It is an exciting and ambitious plan that focuses the church’s energy and resources to boldly offer Christ as never before.

Sunday morning, the Core Vision Team will present the first set of initiatives as we further develop Intentional Community through:

We are confident that these initiatives will reach people for Christ in a powerful way and that First Church has the gifts and passion to carry them out. It will take several teams, which you can become part of.

A Fresh Approach to Revelation begins Sunday evening!

The pastors had a major planning meeting for this study and guess what we discovered? We come from different viewpoints!

We have over 70 registered for the class and it’s not too late for you to sign up. We believe the class will stretch, inform and bless you. If you haven’t signed up so far, please do and let us know how many of you are planning to eat so there is plenty of food. Click here to register.

One of the great books we have read in preparation for the course is Reading Revelation Responsibly by Michael J. Gorman. If you want to scoop the pastors, you may want to get a copy for yourself.
