The Message this Week
Preaching Text: John 4:46-54, 5:1-18
Healing, finally! We will hear two stories of healing, the first we hear about in the Gospel of John. They unfold differently than you may expect. Honestly, Jesus seems a little grumpy about it. What do we do when Jesus doesn't respond in the way we want or expect?
Holy God, help us to receive Jesus as He is; whether it challenges, inspires or confuses us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

WONDERING...
Real questions from real people to learn more about faith.
What's the deal with First Communion?
| | We have 15 students receiving their First Commmunion this weekend, spread out over all three services! We are excited to have the congregation celebrate with them. Please allow extra time for parking. | |
- Mend all that is broken in us and in our world, and bring us to wholeness.
- Give us hands to mend the wounds of this planet, and eyes to see where our actions hurt and where they heal.
- Grant our world’s leaders wisdom to lead with justice, courage, humility, gratitude, and mercy, ever lifting up the needs of those who cannot speak or act for themselves.
- Pour healing upon all who are in need today, all who suffer from illness, grief, poverty, addiction, despair, isolation, abuse, neglect, or any other form of suffering, especially Steve & Diane Hitzemann.
- Let every voice be heard from every station, position, hierarchy, caste, or class. Level the playing field so that no one suffers at the hands of another.
- With all your saints we receive with thankfulness the fullness of your mercy and grace.
With confidence in your mercy, we lift these prayers and those of our hearts into your care, through Jesus Christ our light and our life. Amen.
