The Gathering is Tonight!

The Gathering is tonight at 5:30 pm! Enjoy fellowship, chicken nuggets and fruit, and a brief worship service followed by age-related activities that begin at 6 pm.

  • Join us this week for The Gathering at 5:30, followed by Midweek Missions and Youth Choir. From 6-6:30, Children in K-3 attend choir and grades 4-8 go to Midweek Mission. From 6:30-7, the younger children will go to Midweek Missions and the older group will attend choir. This week, we will paint prayer rocks for First Community volunteers. Children do not have to attend both programs, and they can come when their schedule allows. Pre-K Sing and Play also returns tonight. For more information and to register, please click HERE.

  • Adults may participate in the Ice Cream Theology Bible Study led by Rev. Sarah Kientz. This week will explore the topic of Spirit (strawberry). These studies are intended to unite us, help us dive into our faith, and give us language around what we believe as “progressive” Christians. Let's discuss these topics over ice cream!

  • Good Inside Book Study and Discussion is also being offered this evening from 6-7 pm in Rm. 101. All are welcome, and it is not required to have finished the book to attend. Abbey Jo Griffith and Erica Carlson will lead this discussion tonight at 6 pm, room 101, North.

We are excited to see you TONIGHT at FC North! All are welcome!

Part 3: “Love Centers Us”

Regular Worship Schedule Continues:

World Communion Sunday

Fourth Grade Communion at 10 am FC South and 11 am FC North

This week in K-5

• Our K/1 class at North, and K/5 class at South, will hear the parable of the Good Shepherd. A parable is a story that teaches us about God. The Good Shepherd believes ALL sheep are important, and if even one is lost, the Good Shepherd will look until it has been found.

• Our Godly Play classroom at North will hear the story of World Communion. Sunday is the day churches all over the world celebrate by receiving communion as one large Christian community.

• At 11 am, our 4th and 5th graders at North will remain in worship to celebrate 4th Grade First Communion.

Soli Deo Gloria

Love. Charity. Glory. Peace. This year's Soli Deo Gloria, presented by the First Community Choirs and Orchestra, is centered around these themes. Featuring music by Franz Joseph Haydn, Dan Forrest, and Elaine Hagenberg, it will be a time to rejoice and reflect, to hope and heal, and to love. Join First Community in worship on Sunday, October 8, at either 9 am or 11 am in the North Sanctuary! (Please note: no services at FC South on this day.)
