First Day of School Reminders
Dear OSA Families,

We are so excited for school to start on Wednesday August 12th! Our teachers and staff have worked hard over the summer to design engaging curriculum and to prioritize student mental health and wellness during these challenging times.

Answers to Commonly Asked Questions:

  • All classes will be held remotely.

  • Please visit our website to view Bell Schedules for the first week of school as well as Middle School and High School weekly schedules.

  • Individual Student Schedules are live on PowerSchool. Please view from a web browser, as we've heard of issues with their mobile app. Your list of courses will run on the schedule detailed in the Bell Schedule.


  • Links to all first day meetings and classes will be sent out to students directly via the students.oakarts.org email addresses. Having trouble accessing your student account? Contact techsupport@oakarts.org


  • 504 questions/documents can be sent to our Academic Counseling Team; Arlyle Schultz for 6th-9th grades, Wendy Snyder for 10th-12th graders.

  • IEP questions should be directed to Sara Ordaz, Special Ed Coordinator.

  • Technology is available for students during remote learning. To request a Chrome Book or wifi hot spot for the fall semester please email techrequest@oakarts.org.

  • Textbooks are also available for those who may have missed the scheduled pickups last week. Please note that many classes have online textbooks or materials. We will announce scheduled pickups shortly.

  • If you're a returning family, please be sure to return last year's textbooks as this may impact our projected availability for incoming students. Textbooks may be returned at the security station on 18th Street from 11:00-5:00 this week.

First Semester Meeting Dates:

Please calendar these dates. You may also subscribe to the school's google calendar (click the blue plus sign in the lower right corner). We will be sending links to these virtual meetings. Note that all events will be held online.

  • First Day of School is August 12. All classes are held remotely.

  • Back to School Night for Middle School is Tuesday August 25 at 5:00

  • Back to School Night for High School is Wednesday August 26 at 5:00   

  • OSA Town Hall Check-ins - these informal meetings take place every three weeks and are an opportunity for parents to hear from and ask questions of Principal Mike Oz. Scheduled dates are:
  • Tuesday August 18 at 8:30 AM
  • Tuesday September 8 at 8:30 AM
  • Tuesday September 29 at 8:30 AM
  • Tuesday October 20 at 8:30 AM
  • Tuesday November 10 at 8:30 AM

  • OSA Quarterly Reflections - these presentations are a more formal reflection on the current scholastic quarter and include data points, budget information and topics relevant to the timeframe. Scheduled dates are:
  • Q1 - Tuesday October 6 at 5:00 PM
  • Q2 - Tuesday December 8 at 5:00 PM
