Today marks the first day of school at Archway Arete! Welcome back, families. Students met with their teachers via Zoom today. Tomorrow, marks the first day of Distance Learning through Google Classroom. If you did not receive the email with your child's username and password, please contact our front office. A sample Distance Learning schedule can be viewed here.

Attendance will take place in Google Classroom everyday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. Students or parents will log into Google Classroom and click YES for daily attendance. Attendance not submitted by 3:00 pm daily will be marked as Unexcused Absence. If your child is going to be absent from Google Classroom, call the school to report the absence as usual. Please see the attendance policy on page 29-31 of the Family Handbook for explanation of Excused and Unexcused Absences.

Our front office will remain closed until we return to Brick & Mortar learning and is limited to appointment only basis. Phones are checked daily, Monday - Friday. Information and questions can be directed to Office Manager Melody Pati.

Great Hearts has a new volunteer approval process. If you would like to be approved to volunteer, CLICK HERE. The application is brief and easy to complete, and you will receive an answer from the Raptor system within 48 hours. The cost is $5.00. All volunteers must be approved through this process, no exceptions.

Please note, when selecting the school it will not separate Archway and Prep. You can choose multiple campuses, if that applies to you and your family. If you have any questions or concerns you can reach out to John Lund, Great Hearts Safety Manager.

Full Day Kindergarten tuition will not be charged during the all-school remote learning. If you purchased Early Bird Tuition for the month of August, that payment will be applied to the month we reopen.

With the shift in our learning mode and goal of avoiding shared supplies, our Art teachers request that each student, K-5, purchase a sketch book to be used throughout the school year. This goes for both remote and in-person learning.

Below is a list of each grade level’s first classic book that will be read in August. Please make sure your child has their copy on hand at the start of the school year. Make sure that you have the correct ISBN. Classics to Keep can be purchased at a vendor of your choice, such as Amazon.

Fourth Grade: The Princess and The Goblin
