Williston Economic Development - The City of Williston has purchased thousands of XWA t-shirts to be given away during Media Day, VIP Day and Community Day this week! The youth t-shirts will be distributed to selected elementary schools in Williston while the remainder of the adult and youth t-shirts will be given away this week.

Williston Economic Development -  XWA has released a new ad showcasing the terminal, the project and the contractors who helped. The "Thank You" ad can be found on YouTube or click on the play button. The community is invited to tour the site on October 5 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be a free BBQ, giveaways, games and much more for the entire family!
City of Williston to be featured on PBS Documentary

Williston Economic Development - The City of Williston will be featured on a five-minute documentary on PBS called Information Matrix. The segment will feature ways Williston has become of the most popular destinations for millennials. Some of the footage will feature the new Williston Basin International Airport, Safari Trampoline Park and the Williston Recreation Center. Stay tuned to the Williston Wire for more details!
Red Rock Ford celebrates Ribbon Cutting

Williston Area Chamber of Commerce - A Ribbon Cutting was held Sept. 26 at the new Red Rock Ford located at 410 32nd Ave. W. Red Rock Ford is a family-owned, full-service new vehicle dealership serving the Williston region. Since 2016, Red Rock has grown to more than 60 employees focused on selling and servicing new Ford and pre-owned vehicles. The new facility was completed in 2019 and has provided them with the room necessary to expand their inventory, service offerings and employee count. Visit Red Rock's website at https://www.redrockfordwilliston.com.

Williston, Williams County Economies continue to Grow
Williston Herald - The latest economic stats released for Williams County and Williston both show robust growth in sales tax revenue for the County. Among these figures, Williams County's sales tax distributions have already risen by $3 million year-to-date over receipts for the entire 2018. Williston is up by a million for the same period, through August. Read More
Kasmer & Aafedt Oil, Links of ND raise nearly $940,000 for Nonprofits

Williston Economic Development - Kasmer & Aaafedt Oil isn't one to toot its own horn. The Williston-based firm together with the Links of North Dakota have quietly raised nearly $1 million for nonprofit organizations since they started the Kasmer & Aafedt Classic six years ago. The charity golf tournament and fundraiser has gotten so strong it raised nearly $300,000 in 2019 alone! While owners John Kasmer and Dean Aafedt silently raise funds for local charities; their impact is loud and clear. This year the tournament raised more than $290,000 for a total of $940,000 in six years. Read More
Oasis Donates Sand Transfer Machine to WSC Transportation Program

WSC News Release - On Monday, September 30, Oasis Petroleum delivered a sand transfer machine to the Williston State College Transportation Technology Program. The unit, colloquially known as a sand slinger, is designed to move large amounts of sand, or Proppant, in a precise manner to a blending unit that then mixes the sand and water for hydraulic fracturing. Read More
Miss North Dakota Scholarship Pageant thanks Supporters
Williston Economic Development - Miss North Dakota 2019 Haley Wolfe visited Williston Economic Development recently. Haley,  on behalf of the Miss North Dakota Scholarship Organization Board of Directors, awarded Shawn Wenko a Certificate of Appreciation to the City of Williston in recogniition of its contribution to the success of the Miss North Dakota 2019 Scholarship Competition.

The $5 Jewelry and Accessories Sale  will be held at CHI St. Alexius Health Williston on Oct. 21 from 4-7 p.m. and O ct. 22 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Trick-or-Treaters are invited to Downtown Williston to get their fill of candy and goodies.

11/06 ------ 1 Million Cups
