This month we highlight the first-gen experience in comics. Who is your favorite hero?

The greatest first-gen superhero?

In most universes, Spider-Man comes from a modest working-class background who navigates college as a first-generation student. He is known to be academically gifted and eventually goes on to earn a graduate degree in STEM.

Born in a working-class family, Carol Danvers joined the Air Force as a way to pay for college. Her father, Joe, was also a veteran and made a living as a construction worker.
