This Weekend
In the passage of John 4:27-35, Jesus challenges his followers with a story about the harvest. It is a powerful direction given by Jesus for his followers and His Church. The Church is to be sent into the harvest, the fields being ready, a readiness defined by the needs, hurt, and brokenness of the world that needs Jesus. This encounter follows the story of the woman at the well. Jesus also tells his disciples that they exist to help people like the broken woman at the well. How does our life reflect working in the harvest? Join us on Sunday as we examine this passage.

The City of Grapevine is installing new sewer lines on Church Street and a part of West College Street. The construction affects the Church Street entrance to our Church for the next couple of weeks until construction has been completed. We ask that if you are attending a service or event on our campus during this time, please enter through Scribner Street (West side of the Sanctuary) or through the Botanical Gardens entrance (411 Ball St.). We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Zen Zone

What is a Zen Zone?

The Zen Zone is a new room at Grapevine Middle School for kids to use when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or maybe just need a few minutes to decompress.

Counselor, Roy Rodriguez, mentioned in a meeting with the Grapevine Village team, how much success they have had with the room. Before entering the room, the kids take a little survey on how they are feeling and then take another survey when they leave. The Zen Zone has been very successful at lowering the stress levels for many students.

First Grapevine has been able to provide some much-needed furnishings and equipment as part of our partnership with our neighboring schools. Through your donations to the Grapevine Village, we purchased a sound machine, several light-up tables, fidgets, bean bag chairs, and lamps. Please listen to GMS Principal Dr. Laura Koehler's response to the new furnishings and support.
(video here) Here is a tour of the Zen Zone. (video here) What a blessing to be a part of a congregation who loves their neighbors in such unique ways,

The Grapevine Village Team
Former First Grapevine member and beloved organist Todd Petit recently passed away, and in his will, he bequeathed to our church this beautiful percussion bell tree. This quality instrument will add beauty to our special services involving orchestra. Pictured is Mr. Pettit's sister Tanis Petit, and Director of  Worship and Music Jason Chavarria, receiving this gift. We are grateful for this addition to our music ministry.
