Fair Hill, MD - October 17, 2018 - Fair Hill International celebrates 30 years of eventing excellence this weekend with the start of the 2018 Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event (FHI). Held at the idyllic Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area in Fair Hill, Md., the iconic autumn competition draws top riders from across country to contest The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI2* and CCI3* Eventing National Championships.

Competition began with the first horse inspection Wednesday afternoon. In the CCI3*, thirty-eight pairs were approved by the Ground Jury and will continue to the dressage phase. One horse, Erin Sylvester's mount Paddy The Caddy was held and subsequently not accepted. Two pairs, Allison Springer with Business Ben and Whitney Mahloch with Military Mind withdrew before the horse inspection.
All sixty-five combinations were accepted in the CCI2* class.
Fair Hill International is proud to once again host the USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) East Coast Championships. The Championships showcase up-and-coming 4- and 5-year-old horses who are evaluated for their talent in the sport and their ability to be successful at the upper levels of eventing.

The first dressage phase begins Thursday, Oct. 18. Dressage continues Friday, October 19, while the young event horses perform a jumping evaluation to conclude their Championship. The thrilling cross country phase will be held Saturday, October 14, and the show jumping finale takes place on Sunday, October 15.
