Dear Parents,

Can you believe we are already approaching the end of October? Trunk or Treat is next Thursday on Halloween, and we encourage you to make us one of your stops! We will be at the Downtown Campus, and we look forward to seeing you there! We are still taking signups for trunks and volunteers. We also need more candy donations, as we are expecting quite a large crowd. If you'd like to donate, please feel free to drop your candy off at the Main or Downtown location.

We have loads of sign ups for Advent boxes! What is an Advent box? Children's Ministry is creating an interactive Advent calendar in a box, complete with supplies for each family. The prompts for each day include prayer time, songs, even some cookie baking and ornament decorating. Our response has been great! If you would like to sign up to receive an Advent box for your family, please sign up with the information below.

Because of the great response to the Advent boxes, we are looking for sponsors to allow us to create even more boxes! If you would like to donate, please send a check with Children's Advent Boxes in the memo line. You may also donate by going to www.firstwaco.com/give. From there, you click on Online Giving. Select One Time, then select Other under Fund and enter your amount. Be sure to include Children's Advent Boxes in the Notes section.

TRUNK OR TREAT! - First will be hosting a Trunk or Treat at the Downtown Campus for our families and the community! We'd love to see you and your family at Trunk or Treat! If you would like to sign up to host a trunk or volunteer in another capacity, click here! We will be taking donations of candy at both the Main and Downtown Campuses.

BIRTHDAY CARD CONTEST! - We are accepting submissions from the kids in our ministry for our Children's Ministry Birthday cards for 2025! We will use one from each age group: Nursery/Preschool, Kindergarten-2nd and 3rd-5th! These submissions must be completed by the children. Parents, we know you are talented, but we want this to be their work. Please email your artwork to tara@firstwaco.com no later than November 7. If your child's artwork is chosen, we will request the original, so please hang on to it!

POP TARTS & PAJAMAS: A FIRSTKIDS! CHRISTMAS - We will be hosting Pop Tarts & Pajamas on Friday, December 6th. Family Dinner & Face Painting will be offered from 5-6p and then you'll leave your kiddos with us for a VBS-like Christmas Experience from 6-8:30p! If you would like to register your child or sign up to volunteer, click here!

FIRST FAMILY ADVENT - We will be offering Advent boxes for families this year. The Advent boxes will include a prompt for each day with supplies for special activities. The boxes will be customized for each family. This free gift from FirstKids! will allow you interact and experience the Advent season together as Christmas approaches.
