"It Adds Up to Joy"

There is more joy out there than we know how to tap into, sometimes because we go after it alone. Letting joy in more readily is a wonderful commitment to yourself. And since this is a pancake Sunday, and the young among us will have no trouble pointing out one possible source of joy.

This Sunday is a multi-generational worship service! We encourage all families to attend worship together!

DOWN THE ROAD: Events to plan for!
If you have been searching for a fun summer UU get away, consider coming to SUUSI this year!

SUUSI (Southeast UU Summer Institute) is the third week in July at Western Carolina University.

Here's the link to the SUUSI Website -  https://www.suusi.org/

Registration opens in April, so look through the catalog now, and let me know if you have any questions. I'm the SUUSI Newcomer Coordinator!
We have plenty of other SUUSI people at church too!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES &
SOCIAL JUSTICE WORK
From Megan Taylor, former Social Justice Intern!

Hello all! I'm conducting a short survey for a research class at school, and I would be FOREVER GRATEFUL if each of you would take it! It's pretty painless and will take you 15 minutes tops, so if you want an easy way to serve someone, this is it!! 🙂

It asks for age and gender for data analysis purposes, but I will not know who you are (and won't try to figure it out) - I am just interested the aggregated data of your honest responses! It's meant for people who attend First UU, so please do not share outside of the congregation.

Thank you, thank you in advance!!

PAX provides global education and exchange opportunities for students, host families, schools,
and communities to open doors, embrace cultures, and become family.

PAX invites families to share their little corner of America with a high school student from one of more than 70 countries.

• Hosting gives international students the chance to experience and better understand the United States by living in the
host community, attending the local high school, and becoming a member of the host family.

• Hosting gives families an opportunity to learn about another country and experience the everyday things they normally
take for granted through the fresh perspective of the exchange student they host.
