In this presentation, we will explore some of the reasons we are drawn to this work, what risks we face, and how we can tend the fire of vocation and purpose without burning out, especially during COVID-19. The global pandemic has brought with it additional stressors. Young attorneys find themselves without options to connect to a mentor. Families with school-aged children have to add teaching to an already skewed work-life balance. Many of us have to cope with the isolation imposed by quarantine, and the new types of planning required of us and our teams. We will explore simple, practical steps to make our work sustainable during this extraordinary time.
