A very special Fourth Sunday Forum is planned for Sunday May 24 during Memorial Day weekend. This Forum will take place in the Fellowship Room following our coffee hour and will feature a panel presentation by veterans from our congregation.

Come help us thank them for their service and hear their stories as we recognize George Hubbard, Mike Melton, Wes Michael, Tom Steeno, Gene Stenson, and Kris Walker.

Sunday, May 3 is the culmination of our sesquicentennial celebration with a grand service of worship at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

We are pleased to welcome former pastor Steve Shive and his family, including Jordan Shive who is an ordained pastor himself now. We also welcome former CE Director and Interim Pastor Jan Davis, and Winnebago Presbytery General Presbyter Dave Colby.

We will begin the service with a bagpipe processional, share communion together, and include prayers of thanksgiving for all the years of ministry in this church.

Following worship, all are invited to the fellowship room for a special dessert reception.

We give heartfelt thanks to all of our teachers for their faithful service this past year. Through your dedication, patience, and love, you have helped nurture faith, share God’s Word, and guide learners of all ages in their spiritual growth.

Your commitment makes a lasting impact in the life of our church and in the hearts of those you teach. We are truly grateful for each of you and the difference you make week after week.

In the area of Adult Education, we wish to recognize Bruce Deadman, Mike Melton, and Nancy Siewert; in Youth, we recognize Deb Gauthier; in Children’s Sunday School and nursery, we recognize Grace Estes Collins, Emma Petersen, Cassie Aceituno, Gaby Jimenez, Stacy Bostedt, and Sara Bostedt.

As part of our 150th anniversary celebration, we invite anyone who has served in our nursery, caring for infants and toddlers over the years to join us in creating a special handprint tree mural.

Each handprint will represent the loving care and faith shared with our youngest members over the years.

If you have ever helped in the nursery, we would love for you to come and leave your mark on this meaningful tribute.

Wequiock Presbyterian Church has long been a partner in our Presbyterian Pantry efforts, and at their suggestion we are doing a special collection during the month of May for picnic supplies.

Families and individuals who experience food insecurity often focus on the basic needs and never have the chance to consider the “fun foods” that make up a picnic, so we want to help out!

Please contribute picnic condiments like ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, (plastic jars only) or hamburger or hotdog buns and anything else shelf-stable to add to a picnic.

Our intention is to make up picnic kits for pantry clients early in the summer, and with your contributions we’ll create a relaxing summer opportunity for everyone.
