Vacation Bible School 2026

Get ready for an exciting Vacation Bible School experience with our theme: “Growing, Shining, and Glorifying God!”

The dates for this year are:

  • Saturday June 13, 2026
  • Saturday July 11, 2026
  • Saturday August 15, 2026

Over three fun-filled days, everyone will explore what it means to grow where they are planted, rise and shine for God, and give Him the glory in all they do. Through engaging Bible stories, hands-on crafts, energetic games, music, and snacks, kids will learn that God has a purpose for our lives, calls us to be a light in the world, and invites us to honor Him with our whole hearts.

We can’t wait to see everyone deepen their faith, build friendships, and have an unforgettable time!

Power of Pipes Concerts Are Back!

Power of Pipes 2026

The Northeast Wisconsin chapter of the American Guild of Organists (NEWAGO) is pleased to host their Green Bay concert series, Power of Pipes, again this summer for their ninth season.

This year there will be 10 different concerts (the most ever!).

Beginning on June 30th and going through September 1, these free organ concerts take place on Tuesday evenings at 6:30p.m. throughout the Green Bay area. A freewill offering helps support our AGO chapter's mission, particularly our scholarship program.

The first concert is set for June 30 at Faith Lutheran Church (2335 S Webster Ave, Allouez) with Paul Heiser playing.

We hope to see you throughout the summer!

Softball Season 2026 Begins

Softball Season 2026

It’s time once again to dust off those cleats, gloves, and bats and play some softball! The season starts in May and ends in late summer.

We play at the Cornerstone Complex in Ashwaubenon, and our time of play will vary with each game, game times are Sundays at 4:15pm, 5:30pm or 6:45pm.

Men, women, and youth aged 14 and older are welcome to join the team!

Practices are primarily getting together before game time and when it comes to the playing schedule matching up with your schedule, you play ball when you’re able to play ball.

No commitment is required.

If you’re not up to join the team, volunteer field and plate umpires are always needed. No experience required. You just need to say – “you’re out”, “you’re safe”, “ball” or “strike”. It’s that easy!

Please join us during summer Sundays to play, cheerlead or umpire our softball games.

You can see the full schedule for this season’s games on our Happening Now bulletin board.

It’s a night of fun, fellowship, and a little bit of exercise that you don’t want to miss out on!

Celebrating 150 Years of Faith, Worship, and Service

Celebrating 150 Years of Faith, Worship, and Service

By: Becky Christianson

Over the past year, our congregation has been honoring and celebrating the 150th anniversary of First Presbyterian Church — a milestone honoring faith, worship, and service to the Green Bay community.

We celebrated with themed potlucks, anniversary moments during worship and Fourth Sunday gatherings to learn more about our history. New paraments were created for the sanctuary. We learned about the meaning of the symbols and colors in our stained-glass windows. We had special music – a Dixieland band and the Carroll University Chamber Singers shared their voices with us and allowed members of our choir to sing with them. At our celebration dinner, we shared stories of our church family and how things have changed over the years.

Our Sunday anniversary celebration service brought together members, former members, friends, and guests for a memorable day of worship, remembering, and thanksgiving. Special music, including a bag piper who led us into and out of worship, reflections on our history, and shared stories reminded us not only of where we have been, but also of the faith that has carried our congregation through 150 years.

We learned how much the world has changed since 1876 – from the ordering of hitching posts to be placed around the church property in 1897 to the three buildings that have housed our church family to one of our own who served as a missionary to people in need in Alaska. We shared stories of our legacy in our community, along with the new traditions that have become part of our story.

As we reflect on our history, the heart of our congregation remains remarkably familiar – gathering for worship, caring for neighbors, teaching the faith to children and youth, and seeking to follow Jesus Christ faithfully.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this celebration possible — those who planned and organized events, prepared displays and presentations, shared memories, provided music, welcomed guests, and participated in the festivities. Most of all, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness through every chapter of our congregation’s history.

Without the people, our church is just a building. This is our place for fellowship, to gather, learn, worship, and serve our God and Savior.

This is God’s house.

We invite anyone to join us here.

Thanks be to God!
