Keeping Up with Customer Demand through
Technology and LEAN 5S Strategies
With our country facing unprecedented supply chain challenges, like many other manufacturers, Phillips Precision Medicraft is as well. Our teams have been working diligently to manage and mitigate the impact on our OEMs by leaning out manufacturing and logistics, using new technology to continue transforming the capabilities of our manufacturing floor and business processes to improve supply chain management.

In 2021, we highlighted automation in the form of pallet changers to convert existing 5 Axis machining centers into independent high-volume 5-axis robotic manufacturing cells.
We also introduced Factory Wiz, a platform that provides real-time data to track the performance and productivity of each individual machining center. This year we will continue to add more 5 Axis automation packages and our first horizontal milling system.

Horizontal milling is a brand new manufacturing approach for PPM. Horizontal machining centers will allow us to make large parts faster and more efficiently. In addition, the machine's horizontal orientation does a much better job at chip evacuation, extending tool life, and holds more parts on its tombstone than a vertical machine.
The tombstone system uses a minimum of four faces with a larger machining envelope that holds a greater number of parts to manufacture multiple job setups at once. It also gives us the option of redundant tooling to run for long periods of time without human intervention with its 133 tool capacity. This new system is an ideal solution for large higher production parts.
By creating an adaptable manufacturing operation with continuous improvement and LEAN efficiencies, we can ensure the quality of the products we are known for while expanding our capacity.
Delivery Systems Technology Updates, Capital Investments, and Supporting First Responders
At the close of 2021, Medicraft announced several capital investments that included the addition of two new Amada Break Press Systems and a new Timesaver. All systems are fully operational and making instrumental improvements to our manufacturing output.
2 AMADA BREAK PRESS SYSTEMS
Throughout the Covid pandemic, our delivery systems team has maintained steady and consistent growth. As a result, production and sales are back up to pre-Covid levels and delivery times are consistently 10-12 weeks. In addition, significant efforts have been made to manage supply chain challenges through rigorous strategic planning, including forecasting raw material supplies and labor.

Medicraft is still on track to add a Nitrogen Generator System used with our laser cutting systems and an Amada Punch Laser Combo. We also anticipate adding new Water Jet Cutting Technology to complete our facility upgrades for 2022.

Recently, Medicraft was awarded the assembly of the only non-medical product PPI manufactures - the LIFELINE Tactical Rescue Tool.
NEW 2022 TECHNOLOGY
LIFELINE JAWZ TI™ Dive Rescue Tool
This unique rescue tool was designed by a firefighter to support firefighters. Today, it's regarded as a high-performance self-extrication device used by thousands of firefighters, law enforcement, and military professionals. We are very proud to do all we can to support a product that makes a lifesaving difference to our nation's first responders.

Medicraft's commitment to our valued customers remains our highest priority. We look forward to offering innovative solutions and the highest quality products that make a difference to the OEMs we serve.
Ukraine Crisis
Donation Drive
Phillips Precision Medicraft created a special drive in support of the people of Ukraine. The donation drive was an extraordinary success due to incredible efforts from our staff and outpouring of support from the local community. We collected food, clothes, coats, baby formula, baby food, pet food, hospital supplies, medical supplies, toiletries, diapers, and more. In total, we filled 52 boxes to the brim.

Sincere thanks to our employees, their families, and friends who donated generously. A special thanks to Strzepek Group, Brokered by eXp in Saddle Brook, NJ, Leonard Novelty Bakery from Moonachie, NJ, Walmart in Garfield, NJ, and Allendale Machinery from Allendale, NJ.

We would like to recognize our controller, Patricia Gonzalez, who organized and spearheaded the drive, Anna Chojnacka for coordinating the shipping and logistics, and every staff member who helped organize, pack and drive the donated items to Irvington.

The container was shipped to a specific location in Poland that's able to distribute the items directly to those who need them the most.
Building Relationships
with the Next Generation of
Manufacturing Professionals
Phillips Precision Medicraft was pleased to welcome students from NJIT. In support of each student's areas of study in mechanical engineering and manufacturing engineering, the president of our implants division, John Phillips, gave a complete facility tour, from engineering to manufacturing, inspection, and quality departments. In addition, our team answered questions about our solutions-based approach to automation in manufacturing.
The students were inquisitive and engaging, and we wish them well in their future careers.
