In our First Reading, From the Book OfJeremiah
31:7-9

The long awaited homecoming of the Israelites from their exile in Babylon was that they never lost trust in God that sometime or somehow he would heal the wounds of the people. The weak, lame, and blind are with the exiles. God cares! The fact that God cares is also God's word to us now.

The Responsorial Psalm is that that we put our trust in Jesus because of his love and kindness and that he has done great things for us, so we should be filled with joy.

In the Second Reading, From Hebrews
5:1-6

It refers to the Jewish high priest, who represents human beings to God by offering gifts and sacrifices. Jesus is our high priest of the community and as such appointed by God.Jesus exercises his priesthood constantly refering to his sacrificial death on the cross and to pray for mercy for us.

In the Gospel of Mark
10:46-52
Jesus was the one who has redeemed us by his suffering , death and resurrection. These are miracles as signs that are a spiritual reality. Once again he tells us that our faith such as the blind man's must come from within each and every one.

Meditations
“Lord, I too lack the necessary faith to see the blessings that accompany Your Cross, as well as the many crosses I am given in life. Help me to be purified in my faith so that I can see Your hand at work in all things, even suffering, injustice and persecution. May I see life from Your perspective alone. Jesus, I trust in You."
