Sabbatical Soiree: Guatemala TONIGHT!

This month we gather together to enjoy each other's company and experience the tastes and sounds of Guatemala as we participate, from afar, with Father Mark and his family while they spend time in Guatemala on Sabbatical. A Season of Prayer
June 2-16
Our bishop-elect, the Rev. Canon Susan Brown Snook, invites everyone in the diocese into a season of prayer from Sunday, June 2 through Sunday, June 16. Throughout these 15 days of prayer, she encourages you to gather in your faith community, in the places where you work, live and worship, and within your own heart, to call upon the Holy Spirit to pour out God’s grace and love on our diocese. This enlightening film shares the story of Palestinian Christians in the Holy Land. Although Christianity was born in Palestine over two thousand years ago, the voices of Palestinian Christians have all too often been drowned out in the turmoil of events in Palestine and Israel since 1948. Ordination of Our 5th Bishop
Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m., St. Paul's Cathedral
The ordination and consecration service of our 5th Bishop takes place on Saturday, June 15 at St Paul’s Cathedral at 2728 Sixth Avenue. Processions and preludes from musical groups around the diocese begin at 11 a.m. The service begins at 11 a.m. All are welcome at the service.  The ordination and consecration will be live streamed .

Join Our Summer Pick-Up Choir
Sundays, beginning June 23, 9:30 a.m. for 10:15 a.m. service
The Pick-up Choir continues throughout the summer at the 10:15 a.m. service! If you ever have wanted to sing in the choir, to experience worship from the choir stalls, then summer is the time to try! Come to the choir stalls at 9:30 a.m. and we'll read through music for the day's service. We welcome singers of all ages, from those with much experience to those with none. We will guide and teach you. Come experience this gathering of community this summer!

Journey Through Genesis

Reading Genesis Again - For the First Time. We want to take you on a journey. A journey you will not easily forget. It is a journey through the book of Genesis, experiencing it again for the first time and exploring what it says to us today. Join the Rev. Bill Zettinger and Professor Bob Capettini will share a video then moderate a group discussion. Notes and snacks are provided. All are welcome! Bring a friend or neighbor! Summer Children's Chapel
Sundays, begins June 16, during the 10:15 a.m. service
Children in grades Pre K through 5th grade are invited to join Children's Chapel. Children sit with their family in church at the beginning of the 10:15 a.m. service and are called out to Children's Chapel. Children return to church with their families before communion. There is no sign up for Children's Chapel, just come forward when called. All are welcome!

On Father’s Day snap a pic with your dad, granddad, or other important guy in your life. The photo booth will be set up, so come make a memory!
For all 6th-12th graders to explore our faith, have loads of fun, and help those less fortunate through service. CREW stands for Continuously Riding the Eternal Wave.

Interfaith Outreach Opportunity: 2-Hour Occasional Commitment

Individuals, couples, families, and friends welcome to serve. Interfaith’s New Recovery & Wellness Center Needs volunteers to prepare and serve dinner to residents of their sobering program. The Center provides a safe place for homeless and low-income individuals to recover from drug and alcohol abuse in a long-term residential setting. St. Bart’s has committed to sending 2-3 people twice a month to help the Interfaith cook prepare and serve meals to this growing population of residents.
