Please bring sand that represents your summer travels, adventures and/or inner explorations  for our Sand Ceremony as we begin again in each other's good company. Rev. Jennifer Emrich returns from her sabbatical this month and looks forward to seeing all of you in worship.

Junior Youth Group

Middle schoolers (5th - 8th grade) can join us on Sunday mornings during worship for snacks, games, social justice work, and faith exploration.
Senior Youth Group
Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 4 pm - 5:30 pm
High schoolers (9th - 12th grade) can join us for snacks, games, social justice work, faith exploration, and to prepare for our justice-based mission trip.
Please Note : To sign up children or youth for any religious education programs, please fill out the form below and give it to the church office.
Copies will also be available on Sundays during coffee hour.

The Guys Next Door Documentary Film
Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 7 pm
The Faith-In-Action Council invites you to a free screening of the film The Guys Next Door at Merrill Memorial Library in Yarmouth. This award-winning feature-length documentary about family, friendship, and gay rights "goes well beyond issues of surrogacy and gay parenthood and explores the humanity that connects us all." The screening will be followed by a Q&A with one of the filmmakers and one of the film's subjects.
Preble Street Resource Center

First Universalist is committed to sending six volunteers on the first Tuesday of every month to Preble Street's Soup Kitchen to help prepare and serve dinner. Up to 400 people are served at Preble Street where they can receive three meals per day, every day of the year. The Greater Freeport Community Chorus is looking for more singers, especially tenors and basses. Weekly rehearsals take place on Sundays from 6:30 - 9 pm with special winter concert performances.

The group is an adult, mixed-voice choir. No audition or previous experience with choral singing is required. Membership dues: $70/individual, $120/couple. For more information call 844-1166, visit  or find the chorus on Facebook.

The UUA and UUSC have joined together to create the Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund.

Appalled by the decision to end DACA, the Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray and UUSC President and CEO, Thomas Andrews, declared solidarity with DREAMers.

Please note that Friday and Saturdays are typically her days off - Rev. Jennifer does not check email on these days, but will answer any crisis or emergency calls.
